Jin Shin Jyutsu First Aid


Jin Shin Jyutsu
can be used in any situation alongside conventional medicine due to its non-invasive nature, which assures that its application is safe. Listed below are some quick tips for using Jin Shin Jyutsu as first aid and to help with other minor ailments. These tips can not only be used on yourself but can also be used on others.

Alertness
Sit on your hands, either on the palms or the backs of the hands which ever is the most comfortable. (hands to be under your sit bones).

Bleeding
Place your right hand over the area of the body that’s bleeding and place your left hand on top of your right hand. For women experiencing excessive menstrual flow they can apply this hold to their lower abdominal area.

Burns
Place your left hand over the area where the burn is and your right hand on top. If this is too painful, hold your hands above the area of the burn (a few inches from the burnt skin). It works even quicker if you can get someone to palm your calves at the same time with their finger tips pointing towards your knees.

Calm the nerves
Hold the outside of your wrist in line with little finger.

Constipation
Place the fingers of your left hand over the outside of your left knee.

Detox
Place the fingers of your right hand on the left hand side of your neck between the ear and the base of your neck at SEL 12 (especially good for over indulgence of alcohol)

Diarrhoea
Place the fingers of your right hand over the outside of your right knee.

Dizziness
Hold the base of the cheekbones at SEL 21

Hiccups
Place the fingers of your left hand over the area behind your left earlobe and place the fingers of your right hand over the area behind your right earlobe.

Heart palpitations
Hold the little finger

Immune System Boost
Right hand hold left SEL 11 and left hand hold same side groin (SEL 15) – reverse for opposite side.

Insomnia
Hold base of the thumb or place the right hand over the left breastbone/chest area, then hold the right thumb with the left hand.

Muscle cramps
Place the fingers of your left hand over the outside of your left knee and place the fingers of your right hand over the outside of your right knee.

Nausea
Place the fingers of your left hand over the inside of your left knee and the fingers of your right hand over the inside of your right knee (SEL 1). Alternatively, place the fingers of your right hand over the inside of your left knee and the fingers of your left hand over the inside of your right knee (whichever is the most comfortable).

Hold your right SEL 1 with your left hand and your left high 19 with your right hand

Feeling overwhelmed
Cross arms and put fingers into opposite armpit – exhale and breathe deeply

Sore throat
Place your left hand on left SEL 11 and your right hand on right SEL 13

Splinters
Place your left hand directly over the area where the splinter is and place your right hand on top of your left hand.

Sprained ankle
Hold the outside of the wrist (below little finger) opposite to the sore ankle.

Vomiting
Cross your hands over and place the fingers of your right hand over your left elbow and place the fingers of your left hand over your right elbow.

Weight
Sit on hands, palms on buttocks……… Really!!
